The downside though, there was very little jaw-dropping action. Justice must decide if life is better if all minds are captured or if they should be free to experience freedom of choice and thought. While each side pleads their case throughout the book, in hopes of him carrying out their plans, Justice unravels truths that will blow readers minds! No, it is a story that holds truths in which individuals should explore the depths of the many different messages. Envision your rest as you become more deprived.

This a real page-turner. I think I finished it in only a couple of days and I'm usually a slow reader. The story centers on a young man named Justice who reluctantly becomes the next in line to lead a terrifying new world government where free will is a thing of the past. He also falls in love so there's romance too.

As a female, I always like some romance in a book and his love for Evelina is really beautful. But I must warn you, the way babies are produced in the book is one of the scariest things you'll ever read! I don't usually read science fiction or dystopian books, but this one is really different.

Not cold at all, but very personal and touching, and philosophical at times while still very scary and riveting. What makes it the most scary is the fact that after readying this, I could see how the way the world today is only a couple of steps away from the world of Captured Mind - where people have no control over their personal lives and are manipulated by the words and images broadcast from the government and media without even knowing it.

Once you read it, you'll never look at our current world the same way. This is an easy 5 stars. May 23, Jocelyn Khor rated it it was ok. I received this book from the author in exchange of an honest review. Frankly, I was bored most of the time reading this book.

It wasn't bad but it wasn't something I greatly enjoyed either. Basically, this is about a world which everyone is not allowed to have their own opinions.

They are to be optimistic and loyally serve the Nation. I found the concept to be very fascinating with the word virus, Utopian dream and all that stuffs. The scientific elements definitely have me intrigued but everyth I received this book from the author in exchange of an honest review. The scientific elements definitely have me intrigued but everything in this book just didn't click with me. The most important thing about writing a story is to show, not tell.

The book does the opposite of just that. There are tons of time where the main character, Justice, obtained important information through other people telling him, instead of finding out or discovering the truth by himself. Plus, there's too much info-dumping which made me even harder to read.

Nothing really happens except for the last hundred of pages. Justice always appears to be talking to other people and I was bored to death reading the conversations that never seems to end.

I expected some action scenes but there's only a few of them, like, very few. I didn't really warm up to the main character when I was reading this. He looks um, how should I phrase it, a person without an exact personality? Another thing that bothered me is that he fell in love at first sight with a woman named Evelina, if you guys know me, I dislike insta-love, especially between adult characters. All in all, it has potential to be a very amazingly well-written book, but sadly it fails to capture my interest. It intends to be philosophical which I thought is great but it could've been conveyed in a better way rather than throwing in info on almost every single page.

Despite that, other readers might enjoy this much more than I did, so do pick this up if you don't mind the slow pacing and info-dumping.
